Hoo Are You Tuesdays

It's time for another addition...

NightOwlCrafting
1. Do you like to listen to Christmas music?
Sure do. I love it. I start playing it on Thanksgiving throughout New Years.
2. Are you one of those people who get all their shopping done early, or do you do most of it in December?
I'm a procrastonator. I'm lucky if it's done a week before review.
3. Do you set a budget on how much you spend on each person?
I try but it doesn't really work for me. I try to get people what they want regardless of what it costs.
4. Do you send out Christmas cards?
I do now because I make them myself :)
5. Do you enjoy this holiday season or does it stress you out?
It's one of my favorite times of year. I love what the season means...family, traditions, love. It really is a wonderful time of year.

Cyber Monday

Sshhh....I have a secret. I can not stand Black Friday. I have an aversion to crowds and I can't understand the logic of waking up at 3am to stand in line for two hours to save a couple of bucks on something. I'm not much of a in-store shopper anyway. I'm an online shopper. I do all of my Christmas shopping online. So, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, I'm doing something special on Cyber Monday (November 29th). Order any Memory Works product on Monday and I'll give you 15% off the retail price! That's right, you read that correctly. 15% OFF. Mark your calendars. This offer is only for Monday.

Check out Memory Works products here.

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting
Get ready for a Thanksgiving edition of "Hoo Are You" Tuesdays...Here we go!

1. Name 5 things you are grateful for!
I'm thankful for my wonderful family, the absolute best BF in world, my friends, my job, and my home.
2. What is you favorite dish at Thanksgiving dinner?
Seeing as how I don't eat anything else at the table, my favorite dish is a spanish dish -- rice with gandules. It's a type of bean.

3. Do you have any family traditions for Thanksgiving?
I've learned that our table looks nothing like the traditional Thanksgiving table. Lots of meats, lots of starchy stuff, and no green things.

4. Are you staying home or traveling for Thanksgiving?
I'll be traveling 20 minutes down the road to my parent's house.

5. What else do you do on Thanksgiving day besides eat?
What else...watch football!

Inspirational Thursday

It's time for another Inspirational Thursday. I have a very personal question today. Here we go:

What is something that you fear?

My response: Honestly, I fear being alone. Not the I'm in the house by myself on a Wednesday night type of alone, but the I'm 80 years old and don't have anyone with me type of alone. I think part of that stems from me being an only child. I don't have a big family and it has always been in the back of my mind since I was young that when my parents pass away, I'll essentially be an orphan. I think this is a fear that most people have though and that makes it somewhat better.

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting
It's that time of week again. Check out the questions and my responses below:

1. Do you ever burp out loud in private or public?
In private...all the time. It's a really bad habit. In public, I try to be a little bit more ladylike.

2. How often do you get sick each year?
I swear I have the worst immune system in the world. If someone else around me is sick, it's almost a guarentee that I'll get sick. Surprisingly though, I'm only really sick about 3-4 times a year.

3. Would you rather paint a room in your house yourself, or have someone else do it for you? When I bought my first home last year all the walls were white. I had a painting party and painted every wall. I don't mind painting. I find it relaxing.

4. If you get 30 minutes to yourself, what do you do?
Read.

5. Do you allow people to wear shoes in your house?
Sure do. I'm not a stickler for clean floors.

Confessions

I have a confession to make. I've been a HORRIBLE blogger. I know it's bad. I don't even remember when I've last updated my blog. But I have a valid reason. This weekend I'm going to be a vendor at a fair that's raising money for autisum. I'm trying my hardest to be prepared but I still feel like I have so much to do. This is my first time being a vendor and I'm super nervous. Mostly because I'm afraid people won't like my work. I know family and friends like my stuff but I'm not sure if people outside of my circle will. Do any of you guys ever feel this way?

Blogger Envy - Bluebird Paperie

Ok, I have to admit, I have some EXTREME blogger envy. Have you visited Jean over at Bluebird Paperie? If you haven't you should. This is how envious I am...she didn't even ask me to write this! She is one of the most creative people I've seen on the blogsphere so far. I've been so busy lately trying to get ready for Christmas and craft shows that I've been finding it hard to be inspired. When you're creating card after card after card, sometimes it get a little hard to be continuosly creative. Looking at Jean's work really gets my creative juices flowing though. The work she does is absolutely beautiful. I'm so jealous. Check it out:

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting
It's another "Hoo Are You" Tuesday! Get to knwo me a little better and check out this week's questions.

1. Name two things you consider yourself to be very good at.
I think I'm very good at organization and planning. I'm very throrough in both areas. The only problem is I can organize for other people, just not for myself!
2. Name two things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Keeping up with exercising and eating right. I suck at both. I lack motivation and I'm such a picky eater that it makes it hard to eat right.

3. Do you believe everything happens for a reason?
Sure do! I've been in situations where the outcome should have resulted in things that didn't happen. I believe God has a master plan for everyone.

4. What is something you have eaten lately that you shouldn't have?
Pasta. I've been eating too much of it. I love it but I know it's not good in large amounts.

5. Do you think the time should change or leave it alone?
It doesn't really matter to me. I like the "fall back" thing so much better than the "spring forward" one though.

Don't forget to check out my SPECIAL PROMOTION going on now! Hurry...offer ends November 26th!

Inspirational Thursdays

It's time for another Inspirational Thursday. Here's the question this week:

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go?

This is another easy question for me. I'd go back to Puerto Rico. My family is originally from the island but I have only visited twice. In 2006 I visited for what was essentially the first time (since I don't actually remember my first time). I felt such a connection to this island that I had only been once before. I honestly cannot wait to return to a place that feels like home.

Card Kits and a Special Promotion

If you're a regular reader here at ~The Life of Me~ you may have noticed that I make a lot of cards. Although I do love scrapbooking, cards are so much easier for me to get started on and actually complete (unlike may layouts which never seem finished to me). Most of my cards are designed by me, but I recently purchased several card kits through MemoryWorks in an effort to help me prepare for an event I'm attending as a vendor. And I must say, I've fallen in love. These cards are absolutely beautiful and so super easy to make! I completed two cards kits last night after work and was so proud of myself. MemoryWorks offers several card kits with everything you need to have a beautifully designed card. As a special promotion to all my readers, I am offering FREE SHIPPING on a purchase of any card kit thru Friday, November 26th. These kits are perfect for any occassion and who doesn't love getting a hand-made card? If you're interested in ordering, email me. And if you haven't signed up for my newsletter, you should for a special offer only available to newsletter subscribers. Sign up to the left under "My Newsletter".

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting

It's another "Hoo Are You" Tuesday! Get ready for this week's questions.

1. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Since I have yet to birth a child, the most physically painfull thing I remember is when I got hit in the eye with a hockey stick. I was playing one-on-one with my cousin. I needed stitches after that.

2. What would you name your next child or if you don't have any your first child?
If it's a girl I'm leaning towards Naomi or Adrieanna. If it's a boy, most likely Xavier.

3. If you could add one feature to your car, what would you choose?
Automatic start. The BF has that and I'm so jealous. Especially on days like today when it's cold. It would be so nice to get into a warm car.

4. If you named your house (or car or computer) what would you name it?
Hmmm....I absolutely have no idea. We'll go with Little Blue for my Civic.

5. What is your dream occupation?
My dream occupation would be working at home for myself. I don't know what I'd be doing exactly (maybe scrapbooking like I do now) but I would love to be able to not wake up at 5:15am to go to work.
