1. Do you prefer sweet or salty foods?

I LOVE sweets. I can eat something sweet all day, every day. 

 

2. Name your 3 BEST personality traits!

I like to think that I am funny, a good listener, and compassionate. 

 

3. Name your 3 worst personality traits!

The worst one is that I'm a procrastinator. I can also be really stubborn and with certain people I get frustrated and upset very easily.

 

4. Do you collect anything?

Besides crafting supplies you mean? :) Not really. My parents are big collectors so I think they turned me against it. 

 

5. What is your favorite season of the year?

Fall because of my birthday but summer because of the weather!

Since it's back to school time, all of this week's questions are school related:

1. Do you prefer to use a regular pencil or mechanical pencil?

Mechanical pencils. Not really a fan of regular ones.

2. What is your favorite color in the crayon box?

Hmmm...so many to choose from. I am a blue kinda gal. I like teal too!

3. Bottled glue or glue stick?

Glue stick all the way. I am not a fan of messy glue.

4. Calculator or do it in your head?

Calculator. I SUCK at math.

5.Favorite subject while in High School?I loved History. My favorite was World Civilization. Love learning about cultures that came before ours.

1. Do you exercise regularly and what do you do?

I do now. It's taken me a long time to get into it. I don't go to the gym though. I take zumba and pilates which i enjoy way more than running on a treadmill.

2. Do you have any weird sleeping habits?

Not really. We have a standard 10pm bedtime and most nights I get to sleep pretty easily.

3. How often do you vacuum?

Not often enough. I probably do it once every two weeks but since I have cats, I should do it more.

4.Do you accessorize and if so what is your favorite thing to accessorize with?

Not as much as I want to but I am trying to get better at it. My favorite accessory is my earrings.

 

5. What is your favorite drink during the summertime?



I'm not really a special drink kind of gal. I find that during the summertime the best thing to drink is water.

1. What is your favorite craft or type of craft and if you are a crafter how did you get into it?

My favorite craft is cardmaking. I started as a scrapbooker in high school but I've figured out that I'm much better at making cards even though I like scrapbooking as well.

2. What shows have you been watching this summer?

I actually haven't been watching a lot of shows this summer. I'm waiting for the fall season to start back up so I can watch Bones

3. Who does the yard work at your house?

Since we live in a townhouse there isn't much yard per se. The BF gets a neighborhood kid to cut the grass because - yes, we are that lazy.

4. Are you working on any projects inside the home or outside this week?

I haven't done any home improvement projects lately. I've been really focused on getting my business ready to launch (more on that coming soon!)

5. Do you have to worry about getting ready for back to school?

We're kid free and since I graduated last May from grad school this is the first time no one is in school. It's heaven.

1. Have you ever attended a professional sports game?

I have. I live pretty close to Fedx Field (where the Redskins play) so I've been to a couple of games. I'm a Dallas fan though so I normally root for whoever the Redskins are playing. I've been to a Washington Nationals game too.

2. Have you ever been to a concert and if so which one was your ultimate favorite performance?

I've only been to two concerts - Jay-Z and R.Kelly and Alicia Keys. My favorite was definitely Alicia Keys! She's a great performer.

3. Have you ever been to Disneyland or Disney World?

I've been to both. Disney World is by far my favorite.

4. What is your favorite theme park?

Universial Studio Orlando. And that's pretty much because they opened up the Harry Potter part of the park.

5. Do you have a favorite vacation spot?

Not really. I like Puterto Rico. Any place that's tropical.

1. Are you enjoying the summertime?
Sure am! Summer is one of my favorite seasons, right after fall (and that's only because that's when my brithday is).
2. What activities have you done in the last week?
Hoo Boy I've been super busy this past week. I had to finish a scrapbook for a client and get some wedding stuff done. The BF's bday is this week to so I've been trying to figure out what to do for him to celebrate the big 2-5!

3. What types of food do you tend to eat more of in the summer?
I don't know if my diet really changes during the summer since I'm not really big on fruits and veggies. I guess I tend to eat more strawberries.

4. How much time are you spending outside?
Seeing as how today was almost 100 degrees, I try not to spend too much time outside. Even though I like the summer, I DON'T like being super hot.
5. Is there any fun projects you are working on inside or outside your house?
My never ending task - my office. I'm also working on some decorating projects to help get Creations by Sasha off the ground.

1. How did you spend the 4th of July?

I went to several cookouts over the weekend and went to a park down the street for fireworks last night.

2. What was a couple of your favorite things you ate for the 4th of July?

I'm a simple gal. I ate hot dogs.

3. Did you watch fireworks?

Sure did. Loved them.

4. What is your favorite firework?

I like the gold ones that look like they're simmering downward.

5. How hot was it where you were for the 4th?

It actually wanted that bad. It was probably in the upper 80s/low 90s.

1. Do you decorate for the 4th of July?

No :( I really only decorate for Halloween and Christmas. 

 

2. Do you you buy fireworks for the 4th of July?

Don't do that either. In the county I live in you're not allowed to use them so I can't buy them. 

 

3. How do you celebrate the 4th of July?

There is a park down the street from my house where I can watch fireworks. There always tends to be a cookout to go to as well.

 

4. Do you have a family member that is serving our country?

Currently no, but I come from a military family. Both my parents retired from the Air Force.

 

5. Do you dress in red, white, or blue on the fourth?

Not on purpose. If I do, it's definitely not planned.

1. What is you favorite summertime snack?

Hmmm...I don't really have a summertime snack. I like strawberries. Does that count?

2. Do you tan at all? (tanning bed, outside, spray, etc)

I have lotion but I rarely use it. If I get tan, it's not on purpose, it's just from being outside.

3. What is your favorite activity to do outside?

Playing tennis. I suck at it but me and the fiancee play every once in a while.

4. Do you recycle?

Sure do. We have a blue bin that goes out every Monday to get collected.

5. How hot is it where you live today?

Today was actually a nice day. It was 80 outside but last week we were at 100!

1. How often do you wash your vehicle?

This is embarrassing but I can't even remember the last time I washed my car. It's the BF's job to keep it clean but it probably hasn't been washed since March. 

2. When riding in a car with someone who usually drives, them or you?

It depends on the car. If it's the BF's car, then he drives, if it's my car, then I drive. 

 

3. How many states have you traveled to or through?

I traveled through all of them on the east coast that are beneath Maryland. I've also traveled through Arizona, Nevada, and California. 

 

4. What kind of music do you listen to the most?

I'm mostly a hip hop and r&b type girl. I LOVE Beyonce. 

 

5. Do you prefer the window down or air conditioning? 

Air conditioning. I can deal with the window down if it's not to hot but I can't take the humidity we have in the summer so the windows come up and then air cuts on.

Here we go with this week's questions:

1.  What is your favorite thing cooked on the bbq?

I'm a simple kind of girl, I just like hot dogs.

2. How do you celebrate Memorial Day?

We normally travel around to various cookouts. Lots of good food and family and friends. 

3. Do you like your handwriting?

I like my cursive writing. Sometimes I like my printed handwriting but I have different styles. It's kind of weird actually. 

4. Do you still have your tonsils?

Sure do. I never really had sore throat problems or anything like that. 

5. Do you unite your shoes when you take them off?

Nope. I just slide those puppies on and off.

I really cannot get enough of these things! I love all the questions. So let's get to them:

1. What type of diamond cut do you like?

I don't really have a preference. I don't know any of the names but I like square ones.  

2. If you are married when is your anniversary. if not what month would you like to be married in?

I'm not married but I've been with the BF going on 8 years. Our "anniversary" is August 4th. Whenever we do get married, I'd like to keep the date the same so he doesn't have to remember a new one, or change it to Sept. 21st which was my dad's birthday. 

3. What were or would you like your wedding colors to be?

I would love to have a red and silver wedding. 

 

4. How many bridesmaids did or would you have at your wedding?

I really don't have too many girlfriends, so it depends on how many groomsmen he would have. I'm assuming somewhere between 2-4. 

 

5. How long have you been married?
How I wish I was married :( But like I said I've been with the BF for 8 years to we're getting there!

It's time for another Hoo Are You. If you haven't done this before, I encourage you to play along. So here are the questions for this week:

1. What are your plans for Easter?

I normally go to church and spend time with the BF's family. This Easter falls on the 4 month anniversary of my dad's passing so I'm sure it'll be more somber than normal.
2. Do you die eggs for Easter?
Since I'm kid-free, I don't. I did when I was younger though.
3. What is your favorite Easter candy?
I LOVE white chocolate bunnies.
4. Do you celebrate the make believe part of Easter and/or the religious part?
Since I don't have kiddies and I'm a little bit older now, I celebrate the religious part. I'm sure when I have kids, I'll get back into the make believe part.

5. What is your favorite part about the Easter holiday?
Church. Unfortunately, Easter is one of the few times I actually make it to church and I love the service. I like the music and seeing everyone in their Easter best!

I LOVE Hoo Are You Tuesdays. I think this is so much fun and the questions really make you think. So here are this week's questions:

1. What is your favorite magazine?

I'm kind of nerdy so I actually like reading Time magazine. I also enjoy Real Simple magazine.

 

2. What color are your eyes?

Sigh...my eyes are the darkest possible brown. There are virtually black. When I was in highschool I use to wear grey colored contacts because I wanted lighter eyes.

 

3. Do you go to the dentist on a regular 6 month schedule, or do you put it off?

I put it off as long as possible. I am NOT a fan of the dentist at all.

 

4. Do you use anything to make your house smell good? ex: candles, spray,etc...

Not really. I have those fabrezze plug ins and one of those things that spray automatically but that's about it.

 

5. Do you have any pets?

I sure do. I have two kittes, Arian and Toby. Both boys. They're my kids.

1. What are a couple of your favorite green foods?

Hmmm...green foods. I don't really eat anything that's green (I know, I'm trying to get better). So I guess I'll say spinach - but not cooked - because that's what I use in my salad.
2. Do you decorate for St. Patrick's Day?
No - I'm not much of a decorator for any holiday except for Christams and Halloween.

3. Do you have Irish in you?
I've been told I do - but doesn't every one :)
4. Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
I try to remember to wear green, but I'm not much of a drinker so I don't do anything special.

I so love these things! Let's get right into it with this week's questions:

1. Do you pay your bills online or through snail mail?
I don't think I've ever paid more than maybe 2 bills by snail mail. I'm only 24 years old so I use my computer and the Internet for EVERYTHING!

2. How many email accounts do you have?
I have 4 total but I only use 2 of them regularly.

3. Do you use XM/Sirius, radio, ipod, CD, or etc.. in your vehicle?
I'm all about the good ole radio. Every once in a while, I might pop in a CD but I always for get to put them in my car.

4. What shows are sparking your interest on TV right now?
I don't think I watch any new shows. The only "new" show I watch is Glee (which I love). Mostly I stick to Bones, Law and Order, and Friends.

5. Name 3 things that you think of when you hear the word "GREEN"!
Eco-friendly, spring, recycling. < That's an interesting set of words.

It's that time again in the week for another Hoo Are You? Leslie over at Night Owl Crafting does a great job coming up with so many questions. Here are this week's questions:

1. Do you make a budget and keep it, or just fly by the seat of your pants?

I try to have some type of budget. Nothing is written down really but before each paycheck, I do allocate what needs to be paid to see how much I'll have left over. Does that count?

 

2. Do you do spring cleaning and if so which month?

I DESPISE cleaning. It really is something I do not enjoy so I don't spring clean. I just try to keep my house tidy. I do however go through my closets for items to donate.

 

3. Are you a yard sale lover and do you have them and go to them?

Not really. I think it's because I've never been to a good one where there are actually things worth buying. I want to have a yard sale for my mom though.

 

4. What do you take when you have a headache?

Tylenol or Excedrin. I think Excedrin works better though. And then if I can, I take a nap.

 

5. Name 3 things that you feel lucky to have in your life!

#1 would definetly be life itself. Due to the passing of my dad, I've really started to just look at every day and be thankful that I can find something in it to enjoy. #2 would be mom mom because she's the best there is and #3 is the BF because he is my rock. I don't know where in life I'd be if it weren't for them.

It's that time of week for another Hoo Are You?  I love these things. I feel like I get to know so many of you bloggers out there and hopefully you get to know a little bit more about me. So without further ado:

1. Where do you usually have your thermostat set at in the winter?
I'm pretty sure it's set to 68 when I'm not in the house and maybe 70 once I get home.

2. What room do you tend to put off cleaning until last?
Definelty my bedroom. There are always clothes that I need to put away. *sigh*3. Do you like to clean with music on or off?

I love cleaning with the music on. If it's just me in the house, I'll even sing!

4. When do you take time to blog?
I pretty much blog whenever I have a chance - in the morning, at work, at night - whenever the mood strikes.

5. How much time do you spend looking at other blogs a week?
A ridiculous amount of time. I'm on blogger all day when I'm at work and then I look at again when I go home. I just like reading about other people and seeing how creative every one is.

It's been a while since I've participated but I love these things so here we go!

1. Are you married/in a relationship/single? For how long?
I've been in a beautiful, wonderful relationship with the BF for 7 (going on 8) years. Since I was 16 years old!

2. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?
I work in HR along with trying to get my business off the ground. I'm not IN LOVE with my day job, but I do enjoy it. And I love what my business is about!

3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised?
I currently live and was born and raised in MD, right outside of Washington, DC.

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?
Don't have any children yet, but I would like some in the future...the far distant future :)

5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why?
I have so many favorite blogger, but I think if I had to pick one it would be Paisley Passions. It's one of the first blogs I started following and I love everything about Lori's blog!

I know it's Wednesday, but I love these things so here we go...



1. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions?
Not really. I try to set goals for the year - I've read that it's better to set goals than have resolutions. So this year I want to be healthier.
2. What are some goals you have for 2011?
I guess I answered this in the previous question. :)

3. What is something that you got for Christmas?
In an effort to put this in a positive light, I got an angel. My dad passed away unexpectedly Christmas Eve so it wasn't a good holiday.

4. Did you see any good movies over the holiday season?
No, but I really want to see Little Fockers.

5. Do you do your own taxes or have someone do them for you?
I use to do my own but when I bought my house last year and now that I have my own business, it's just too complicated.
