Guest Blogger: Lacey from Lacey Bug Creations

A special thanks to Lacey for being today's guest blogger!

Hello! My name is Lacey Igo. I live in Moorhead, MN (across the bridge from Fargo, ND) and I'm excited to be sharing a piece of me today!

A bit about my crafting background. I have been crafting my entire life. My mom has always done artsy things and I just followed in her foot steps. I am a scrapbooker, knitter / crochet, photographer and I sew (amongst other random craft things). I sell my knitted coffee cozies on Etsy at LaceyBug Creations. I love making them and have no need for hundreds of them sitting around my house so I sell them and give them away as gifts. I have also recently introduced an item to my Etsy shop called "Hair Candy" (Grecian headbands).

A huge part of my crafting life is scrapbooking. As a kid, I would add decorative borders and descriptions to my photos and then I found out there was actual "scrapbooking". I have always been one to take MANY photos, so it was only natural to start scrapbooking. I was the girl in high school who took 18 rolls of photos on a Concert Choir trip to Colorado (I think it was a 4 day trip). AND we had 8 rolls of film from prom one year. Obsessed. So the next step was to make those pictures look pretty in a scrapbook. My scrapbooking has reached into my adulthood (if you want to call it that) and I currently an independent consultant with MemoryWorks (that is how I met Sasha!!) and I serve as the Design Team Leader for MemoryWorks.

Now to share some projects with you. Here is a 3.5" x 5" frame I made for this blog post. It features one of my FAVORITE topics - my nephew! I purchased the frame at Target for under $2.00. Created a mini layout using the NEW Crate Paper: Portraits collection (6x6 paper pad). This project took less then 30 minutes to create and will look fantastic in my craft room, living room or bedroom.

I love working with 6x6 paper pads. You can use them to create layouts, altered projects and mini cards! They are also inexpensive and you get a great paper selection from the specific line you are buying. Below are a few cards I created using BasicGray Origins Collection (a few years old).

Feel free to stop by my blog for more projects and inspiration I've created. And a big thanks to Sasha for letting me post to your blog! Hope you are having an amazing time on your vacation! (Yes, I'm jealous).
