Crate Paper CHA Previews

Crate Paper is one of my favorite scrapbooking lines. I've used their papers and embellishments in many project and I'm super excited about the new designs. I'm excited about them for another reason - but I'll let you know why in another post ;) Anywho - The Farmhouse line is beautiful. It has that perfect "fall" season feel and would be great for all those pumpkin patch pictures.

The second new line is the Random collection. This collection has softer colors and more floral design. Normally I'm not a fan of florals but I think this collection does a good job of balancing out the florals with less feminane designs.

And of course, no new CHA collection would be complete without the release of a new holiday line. I think the new Peppermint collection is adorable. The papers are fun and the embellishments are great for cards and holiday layouts. I can't wait to use this line myself for my own holiday projects.

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting

1. Have you ever attended a professional sports game?
I have. I live pretty close to Fedx Field (where the Redskins play) so I've been to a couple of games. I'm a Dallas fan though so I normally root for whoever the Redskins are playing. I've been to a Washington Nationals game too.
2. Have you ever been to a concert and if so which one was your ultimate favorite performance?
I've only been to two concerts - Jay-Z and R.Kelly and Alicia Keys. My favorite was definitely Alicia Keys! She's a great performer.

3. Have you ever been to Disneyland or Disney World?
I've been to both. Disney World is by far my favorite.
4. What is your favorite theme park?
Universial Studio Orlando. And that's pretty much because they opened up the Harry Potter part of the park.

5. Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
Not really. I like Puterto Rico. Any place that's tropical.

We R Memory Keepers CHA Previews

Now that CHA is over, there are tons of sneak peaks of all the new products that will be coming out. I'm super excited. This is when I wish that I could order everything without having to worry about how much it'll cost me.

We R Memory Keepers (one of my favorite brands) is coming out with some great stuff. I LOVE their Sew Easy because most people know I can barely sew on a button let alone add stitching to my crafting products. I'm super excited that they are now coming out with the Sew Ribbon (shipping in Sept). It's the same concept as the Sew Easy but only with ribbon. It allows you to get that threaded look without all the work!

Along the same lines, they are also releasing Sew Stamper (shipping in Oct). The Sew Stamper is very similar to the Sew Easy only instead of having to stitch thread, it gives the illusion of stitching. There are seven different heads for the tool that can create unique looks for any project.

Something else that I am absolutely in love with is The Cinch Version 2 (shipping now!). What I wouldn't give to get one of these. This is perfect for those of you who like to make your own books. It is a little pricey but the ability that it gives you to bind albums outweighs the costs. This will definitely be on my birthday with list!

Stay tuned for more product sneak peeks coming soon!

Cards of the Month - June

With all of the wedding planning and birthdays this month, I've finally gotten around to completing June's card kit. I know, I know - behind. But no worries, I hope to finish July's kit tomorrow and then I'll finally be all caught up. The theme for June's kit was creating a 3-D effect. All of the cards are sympathy cards. I think the colors really work with the heme and I like the simplicity of these cards. What do you think?

New Simple Stories

As many of you may know, the CHA Summer season is upon us and there are a bunch of new scrapbooking products that are coming out soon. But, I must confess, I am in LOVE with all FOUR of the new Simple Stories lines. If you've never seen or used Simple Stories, it is one of the easiest ways to get a quick and good looking scrapbook done.

The key to the Simple Stories system is the signature element pieces. There are pre-designed element pieces that are printed on high-quality, double-sided 12x12 sheets of beautiful designer cardstock paper. All you do is trim the elements and slide them into the divided page protectors, add photos, and wa-la you're done!

And now, Simple Stories, has revealed four brand new lines. Check them out:

25 Days of Christmas
Baby Steps
Happy Day

Generations
Aren't you just in love with all of these! I can't wait for them to come out!

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting

1. Are you enjoying the summertime?
Sure am! Summer is one of my favorite seasons, right after fall (and that's only because that's when my brithday is).
2. What activities have you done in the last week?
Hoo Boy I've been super busy this past week. I had to finish a scrapbook for a client and get some wedding stuff done. The BF's bday is this week to so I've been trying to figure out what to do for him to celebrate the big 2-5!

3. What types of food do you tend to eat more of in the summer?
I don't know if my diet really changes during the summer since I'm not really big on fruits and veggies. I guess I tend to eat more strawberries.

4. How much time are you spending outside?
Seeing as how today was almost 100 degrees, I try not to spend too much time outside. Even though I like the summer, I DON'T like being super hot.
5. Is there any fun projects you are working on inside or outside your house?
My never ending task - my office. I'm also working on some decorating projects to help get Creations by Sasha off the ground.

1. How did you spend the 4th of July?
I went to several cookouts over the weekend and went to a park down the street for fireworks last night.

2. What was a couple of your favorite things you ate for the 4th of July?
I'm a simple gal. I ate hot dogs.

3. Did you watch fireworks?
Sure did. Loved them.

4. What is your favorite firework?
I like the gold ones that look like they're simmering downward.

5. How hot was it where you were for the 4th?
It actually wanted that bad. It was probably in the upper 80s/low 90s.
