Inspirational Thursdays

It's time for another Inspirational Thursday! Today's question should really get you thinking.

If you could have an job in the world, what would it be?

For me, it's a teacher. When I was younger, I always wanted to play school. I would give myself actual assignments and then complete them! I've always thought that teaching would be such a rewarding career and it's a shame that teachers don't get compensated enough for all the work they put in preparing children for the future. So what's your answer?

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting

It's time for another "Hoo Are You" Tuesday! Hope you get to know me a little bit better.

1. How many times a year do you get your hair cut?
I use to only do it only about 2-3 times a year but now it's probably 4-5 years.

2. Where is the worst place to be stuck waiting?
In the self-checkout line at the grocery store. I HATE standing behind people who have no idea how to use the self-checkout.

3. What are your favorite pizza toppings?
Normally only cheese, but if its from Pizza Hut then only sausage.

4. What's your favorite thing about where you live?
I love being near D.C. There's so much to do even though I don't do alot of it :)

5. What's your favorite fruit? Veggie?
Fruit - bananas. Veggies - Eww :(

Halloween Party Prep

This week is all about getting ready for my 2nd annual Halloween Party next Saturday. Part of the prep is getting the way coverings ready. The whole idea is for the house to look like a cave/dungeon. To achieve this look, I purchased Black Out Scene Setters and some grey paint from Lowe's. I could have purchased stone Scene Setters but you only got 30 feet by 4 feet rolls as opposed to 100feet by 4feet with the black out kind. Next, all I did was paint. How do you think it turned out? I still have some more to do but I think they came out great.

MemoryWorks just released this beautiful BasicGrey Calendar Kit. I'm in love with it and will be purchasing some myself for my own use and an upcoming craft show I'm vendoring at. This kit has everything you need to make your own 8x8 handmade calendar. It features 13 of BasicGrey's top collections - enough to make a 14-page spiral-bound calendar. It also includes adhesive, chipboard elements, die cuts, cardstock stickers & rub-on elements.

These are perfect for gifts or your own personal calendar. If you're interested in ordering, email me!

Inspirational Thursdays

It's time for another Inspirational Thursday. Here's a question for you:

Who do you love?

This one is easy for me. Of course, I could name a lot of people I love but if I had to narrow it down to a select few, I love my parents, my BF, and my two kitties. These people (and cats) make up alot of my life and who I am. So what's your answer?

Hoo Are You Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting
I know, I know. I've been a real bad blogger. I haven't posted in a while but I promise I'll have stuff up in the coming weeks. In the mean time, it's another "Hoo Are You" Tuesday! Check out my answers to the questions for this week.

1.What was your favorite meal growing up?
My favorite food growing up and to this day is spaghetti. I probably cook it at least once every other week.
2. What's your favorite month?
October! It's my birthday month and I LOVE Halloween.

3. What store is most represented in your wardrobe?
It's a toss up between Wet Seal and Forever 21. I'm trying to expand to different places though.
4. How many times do you go to the movie theater each month/year?
I use to go to the movies more often but I think now adays it's about 4-5 times a year. :(

5. Fill in the blank- I've never been able to ___________________
I've never been able to not be nosey. It's a really bad habit but I think I get it from my mom. I am always into every one's business, even when I try not to be.

Inspirational Thursdays

Another question to get you thinking and get you crafting!

What is your best memory of childhood?

I'll even give you my answer this week. One of my best childhood memories is cooking a spanish dish called patellos with my mom. Patellos are similar to empanadas; a pastry filled with cheese, meat, or fruit fillings. Nowadays, the dish is pretty easy to make due to pre-made dough but when I was younger, we use to spend almost all day rolling out dough just right and filling it with cheese (my favorite). I remember sitting on the kitchen counter while my mom rolled and rolled. I had a lot of fun helping her.

Hoo Are you Tuesdays

NightOwlCrafting
It's another week of "Hoo Are You" Tuesdays. Check out my answers to the questions for this week.

 1. How tall are you? How tall do you WISH you were?
5'2 :( I wish I was 5'5

2. Do you have a birthmark? Where?
Sure don't. If I do, it's not in a place I can see.

3. What is your biggest money waster?
Scrapbooking. Anything that can be used for scrapbooking or card making. It is absolutley ridiculous how much I spend.

4. What song are you tired of?
"Bottoms Up" by Trey Songz. It's on the radio every single day at least once per hour.

5. What stresses you out most?
It's a toss up between my dad and his health situation and making sure I have enough money for everything I need to pay for (even though this isn't really something I should worry about but I do).

A Special Note

Today is my 24th birthday. I just wanted to take the time to thank each and every person that takes the time to stop by this blog and read. I'm thankful for reaching so much and having accomplished so much at such a relatively young age. It still amazes me that there are people who think what I have to say and the crafts I make are interesting. I appreciate everyone's support and I hope you will continue to stop by often.

Getting Ready

As you may or may not know (but you definitely should know), I'm an Independent Consultant for MemoryWorks. I joined in June and next weekend I am having my first scrapbooking party! I'm so excited and have been doing so much to prepare for it. All the lucky attendents will be making gift tags and a holiday card. So of course that means I have to make samples right. Check out my coordinating greeting card and gift tag! I LOVE the way they came out. This was my first time using Distress Inks and I must say, I did quite well using them. What do you guys think?

NightOwlCrafting

It's another "Hoo Are You" Tuesday from Night Owl Crafting. Check out my responses to this week's questions.

A finished basement. I know it's not technically adding but I really wish my basement was finished!

Two. Can't sleep with just one. Which is wierd because I use to be able to.

3. What is the best costume you've ever worn for Halloween?
I just recently starting dressing up in my adult years so I'll go with when I was in middle school and I was a gypsy.

4. If you could erase one item off the face of the earth, what would it be?
Ummmm....I'll go with bugs.

5. Where do you do your best thinking?
In bed, right before bed time. It tends to keep me awake :(
